Neural Contemplation

Last night I watched shadows dance

Swaying in movements that defy limitations

of corporeality

Pouring transitions of liquid

and rhythms of air

Grey forms upon white walls

transformed visual perception

and soft peculiar notes that drift down these halls

I stopped to listen and remembered

that it was by my own hands these shadows were created

and taught to move with such fluidity

before falling far within

And there I slept, and slept not

in stasis to stand beside myself

In awe of the beautiful things that emerge

when nobody goes looking.
