Lament of Chaos

slowly spreading sorrows

Broken memories of skeletons past

bring us no joy now

Crushing melancholy

the onslaught, bittersweet

The mourning dance

between siblings and lovers

between friends and antagonists

Stages of where and when

remain subjective

Whilst characters yet eternal

like serpents tear at each other’s flesh

The cruel game

pitted against ourselves

in the grand arena

and still sparks that wicked gleam in the eyes of the Erinyes.
