Liquorice Waves

Sweet black languid memories

wafting in restlessness

adrift and lingering

waiting to set myself free.

Drawn into this candid embrace

through a medically induced melancholy

to find auto-fragments shattered among the ether

like dust, discombobulated and still waiting

Plunged into inky pools of self-reflection

ever expanding and contracting

cursed by indecision

Still – the flame ever burns.
