I remember the past

sullen waves of when I gave a damn

over-critical and self-examined

Every priceless thought and action

curtailed with precision

to avoid the inevitable

and strive for the unattainable

Hanging delicately in the balance

between choice and indecision

Time has come

and a choice, already made

Reforms the ever-changing pavement.
