Occult Synthetics

Dressing the temple
in chemical fragments
at the bequest
of those who speak in zealous ardor
on behalf of tenets
of a psychological transcendence
that all our religions must adhere to.

Medical petitions made
before the swollen and over-arching
entities of indoctrination
like wandering mystics
solicitous in their prayers
that a jealous force on some distant shore
expiated by the invocations of His slaves
might ‘save’ us all.
